Fall Plants, Flower Care, & Holiday Delivery

Although mums and sunflowers are festive favorites, our fall collection goes beyond cut flowers. You can also find seasonal plants like coneflowers and ornamental peppers (for decoration only, please!). We also stock staples like potted mums and heuchera to set up your front porch or window boxes for the colder months.

To keep your Thanksgiving centerpieces and cut flowers looking fresh, keep them in a room between 65°F and 72°F. Keep your arrangements away from heating vents, active fireplaces, drafty windows, and direct sunlight, as heat causes cut flowers to wilt much faster. If your centerpiece uses floral foam, check it daily and pour in a little water when it feels dry. For vase arrangements, change the water every two to three days, trim the stems at a 45-degree angle, and mix in the provided flower food.

We provide convenient flower delivery throughout Brooklyn, including direct delivery on both Halloween Day and Thanksgiving Day. Place your order ahead of time to secure your delivery window and get same-day flower delivery exactly when you need them.

FAQs

Can I get flowers delivered on Thanksgiving day?

Yes, we deliver throughout Brooklyn on Thanksgiving. Although we offer same-day delivery, holiday delivery slots fill up quickly, so we recommend placing your order well in advance to lock in your preferred time.

Are popular fall flowers safe for cats and dogs?

Some fall favorites require caution if you have pets in the house. Lilies are highly toxic to cats, and chrysanthemums can cause stomach upset in both dogs and cats. If you have curious pets, let us know and we will design a pet-friendly arrangement using safe alternatives like sunflowers, roses, and snapdragons.

How do I care for outdoor fall plants?

Potted mums and coneflowers thrive outdoors in the crisp fall air and prefer partial to full sun. Keep the soil moist but not soggy, and be sure to move them indoors or cover them if the overnight temperature is forecast to drop below freezing. (2-0 degrees is usually fine).

What size Thanksgiving centerpiece should I order for my table?

To leave enough room for food and place settings, your centerpiece should take up no more than one-third of your table's length. A compact, round arrangement works best for circular tables, while long, rectangular dining tables are better suited for an elongated oval centerpiece or a series of smaller arrangements spread down the middle. We also recommend keeping the height under 12 inches so your guests can easily see each other across the table.
